Nominations for 11th Annual Idaho Innovation Awards Now Open

The nomination period for the 11th annual Idaho Innovation Awards, presented by Stoel Rives LLP, Trailhead and the Idaho Technology Council, is now open. The Idaho Innovation Awards recognize innovations, innovative professionals and innovative companies statewide. Nomination forms can be completed and submitted online at www.stoel.com/idahoinnovation through Friday, July 29, 2016.

Nominations from ALL industries are welcome in the following categories:

Consumer Product of the Year (New!) This category is designed to recognize innovations in consumer products that are meeting market needs and have the potential to revolutionize the process, product, segment or scientific field.
Commercialized Innovation of the Year This category is designed to recognize innovations from companies that have been established for five years or more, and that are on the market, contributing to the local economy.
Early-Stage Innovation

of the Year

This category is designed to recognize innovations from companies that are less than five years old, may or may not be commercialized, still in or just emerging from the R&D stage, or coming from a nonprofit/academic entity such as a technology transfer office.
Innovative Company

of the Year

This category is designed to recognize innovative companies; companies that have implemented an innovative business model, and provide an environment that supports innovation in all aspects of its operations.
Innovator of the Year This category is designed to recognize innovative business professionals; individuals who demonstrate innovative characteristics and thinking in their careers and accomplishments.

Nominations will be reviewed by a Selection Committee consisting of leaders from Idaho’s business and technology sectors. Finalists will be announced in September. Finalists and winners will be recognized at the seventh annual Idaho Technology Council “Hall of Fame” featuring the Idaho Innovation Awards on October 25, 2016 at Boise Centre.

Over its history, the program has recognized some of the most promising and successful Idaho companies, products, science and technology advancements, and professionals. The following were recognized as winners and finalists in 2015:
