“Being named an Idaho Innovation Awards’ finalist or winner symbolizes an unbiased endorsement by our community’s business leaders,” said Jason Prince, Stoel Rives attorney and 2012 Idaho Innovation Awards co-chairman. The nominations were judged by a Selection Committee consisting of nearly 30 leaders from Idaho’s business, technology and academic communities. Votes were tallied by accountants at Cooper Norman. “The Idaho Innovation Awards continues to serve as an important catalyst to bringing important recognition to the tremendous innovators and innovative accomplishments in Idaho,” said Prince.
Following the announcement of the 2012 Idaho Innovation Award winners, Richard Raimondi, Idaho Technology Council chairman announced the induction of Dr. Forrest Bird and Bob Lokken into the ITC “Hall of Fame.” More than 500 individuals from Idaho’s business and academic communities attended the event. The banquet also featured a keynote address from entrepreneur Brad Feld.
